well, it's a lifetime if you are my 18-year-old daughter Katie! November 19, 1988 was one of the four best days of my life (the first when I married my husband and the other three are the days our daughters were born). Katie is such an amazing young woman who inspires everyone she meets. So many people let their illness get the best of them, but she perseveres and tries to face it head on, day in and day out. Even some days when those of us who are closest to her are feeling defeated by it, she's the one who gives us her strength.
Katie...your smile never fails to amaze everyone you meet! People who know you are glad you're in their lives and those how don't know you, want to know you better! It's incredible what you have done with your first 18 years, I can't wait to see what you do with the next 80!
