A love worth waiting for

Saturday marked the beginning of Joni and James' life together. Their beautiful day began at The First Presbyterian church where they met one another. Their good friend performed the ceremony, and the day was off to a perfect start! Naturally, the flowers that Joan of Beautiful by Nature did were incredible, as usual! One of the highlights of the day was the trio of old Model Ts that were waiting at Lake Natoma Inn for the bride and groom. James' dad belongs to a Model T club, and his friends pulled out all the stops for the occassion. Another special touch was the old hanky that one of Joni's friends gave her for her "something old". This has been passed from friend to friend as each one got married, and Joni will pass it on when their next friend ties the knot.

Joni and James had so many friends and family surrounding them on their wonderful day. James' mom and sister told me that they never thought any girl would steal James' heart and they are to happy that Joni came into his life. Joni got a second chance at love and found the man of her dreams in James. Everytime I took a photo of the two of them, I could hear how much they love each other. When I'm taking photos of clients I have a front row seat for some really special moments and hear some touching things that couples say to one another. I'll just say that James' is completely in love with his new bride and he makes her feel like a princess! Scroll down to see some of their photos (click on them for larger and clearer views), and to see their slideshow.

Here's Joni doing what she did all day...smiling and laughing!

A little time to be artistic.

James as he arrived at the church.
My favorite image of the car!

Since I just saw the Michael Buble concert the other night, I knew I had to use one of his songs for the slideshow...I think this one is really appropriate. Be sure to leave the happy couple some comments that they can enjoy when they get home from Maui!

Dear Joni and James,
We know how blessed you both must feel! Paul and I found each other at age 45! For God to bring your soul mate into your life when you start to think it may not happen - is simply a miraculous feeling!! God continues to astound us with his blessings and I know he is doing the same thing in your marriage! You both are such faithful followers, and from those pictures, His joy was coming through loud and clear! With much love, Carol and Paul
