I told a lie

Well, actually, I made my daughter tell a lie...a little white one. Today is my neice's 16th birthday and I wanted to surprise her with a slideshow on my blog. She's had a rough couple of years and I really thought something like this would help to make her birthday extra special. The lie comes in because a few weeks ago I was trying to figure out how to get more photos of her (other than what I already had) to create the surprise. So, I had Cassie call Shelby and tell her she had a school project to do. Cassie told Shelby she needed to get some photos of her because the project was about cousins. Shelby fell for it "hook, line and sinker". :) Sorry 'bout the fib, but it was all for a good cause :) I was sent about a dozen photos and pulled the rest from my collection. It's amazing how many photos one has in their archives that they've forgotten about. I tried and tried to find some music that she'd like for the slideshow (Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Bob Marley, etc-believe it or not, that's what this sixteen-year-old likes), but just couldn't find any "slideshow" material. So, Rascal Flatts will have to do :) Besides, I really love the message to this song! Anyway, to Shelby, enjoy your day (and your slideshow) kiddo!!!!!
